I am pleased to present to you my resume for consideration for an Elementary School Teacher. I have a Bachelor of Science in Education with a content specialization in Elementary Education. This also includes endorsements in Multi-categorical Special Education and PreK. I graduated from West Virginia State University in December of 2015. I currently am employed at Sherman Elementary School in Comfort, WV. I am a teaching in a self-contained BD/LD room. I am available for employment for the 2016-2017 school year. I am more than excited to begin my career in the education field. I am the best candidate for this job because I will strive everyday to make sure our children are getting the best suited education to help them prosper as life long learners.
Classrooms are changing everyday, and as my portfolio will show you, I am committed to staying on top of the diversity and multiple strategies needed to meet the growing needs of students in the 21st century classroom. My portfolio contains four parts: 1) Employment information, which includes my resume; 2) Educational Philosophy; 3) Professional Commitments, which includes the contributions to my education; and 4) Commitment to the Profession, which includes growth and future plans.
My strengths include actively engaging students as well as using a variety of teaching methods to ensure students can work to their fullest potential. I love the idea of differentiating material so that all students have a chance to grasp concepts. Every student has the potential to learn and I strive to bring that potential out.
I am available for personal interviews at your convenience and I look forward to discussing what I could add to your school. Thank you for your time. My contact information is located under the contact tab of my portfolio.
